More name dropping : We just had dinner with Peter Saville the other week. You mightn't know his name, but you'll DEFINITELY know his work. Google him. He's a bit of a hero.

And the day before we were out w Peter, we were out w Jerry who was in London. I finally told him that the Talking Heads were the reason I am who I am today. I was 12 when I got into them and decided that I was happy to be different and weird. He was really touched. I'd never told him that before.

Ahhh.... thanks Dana dear. I think Bob Carlson took that one. Mindy still hasn't figured out our camera. She takes great pics of her thumbs and the camera strap though.

This is a special night for Shelter and our friends. Not only is shelter hosting its first guest outside of the normal residents (FOCUS). Shelter is also hosting a double bday party for our very own Dan Cortez aka GHETTO and our good friend Dustin Dorris. This night is all about celebration and the theme is all BLACK! Come dressed in all black attire and be prepared for a musical journey!

MUSIC - For two decades now, Craig Lambert aka "Focus" has been passionately involved in the underground dance and DJ scene. Through hundreds of club and party appearances under aliases such as "Headwound", "Karl Hungus" and as part of "The Disco Devils", Focus has earned his reputation as a formidable and skilled DJ. He is not afraid to take chances in the mix, ignores confining genre labels and assembles some truly eclectic and dramatic sets. When asked "What do you spin?" he has always responded, "Records". His 20+ years of vinyl collecting, crate digging and frequent gigging has built a vast arsenal of diverse music history and remarkable talent as a DJ. With help from his cohorts, Focus has etched out a niche of his own in the Twin Cities area that is distinctly unique.

ART – This week we will see 2 forms of art. Roderic Olson doing Live painting and Video Graphics by Oliver Grudem creating real time interactive video installations utilizing MaxMSP/Jitter
